FAQ 

What do I do on arrival at the airport?
On arrival at the airport you will be required to fill a customs and immigration form and have your passport ready for inspection.  You will also be required to pay $10 per person arrival tax and obtain a tourist card.  After passing through customs and immigration you will proceed to the luggage collection area.  Once you have received your luggage, head towards the exit and look for your Lifestyle representative directly outside the door.  He will be carrying a Name Card displaying your booking name. You will then be taken directly to VIP World. 

How do I get to the resort?
As VIP guests you will have a free VIP Shuttle transfer if you fly to Puerto Plata airport. For guests wishing to travel in style from Puerto Plata the resort has its own VIP Helicopter and Limonsine service available at an extra charge. Travel time from Puerto Plata Airport is approx 30 mins.

Which other airports are near to the resort and do you provide transport airport transfers?
Santiago is the only other airport close to the resort.  We do offer a transfer service but there is a fee of $75 per trip.  This service covers a minibus for up to 6 persons with luggage.  Travel time from Santiago is just over 1 hour. However, if you do fly to Santa Domingo airport we can arrange transport as above but the fee is $160 per trip and travel time is approximately 4 hours.

Are there any additional fees other than accommodation and all inclusive costs?
The only costs other than accommodation and mandatory all-inclusive fees are flights, airport arrival/departure taxes and any phone calls made, or room service ordered from your accommodation.

What does the All-Inclusive fee cover?
The All-Inclusive fee covers all the VIP bars (internationally branded spirits, liquors, wines/champagne, cocktails etc), VIP Gourmet Restaurant and all meals and drinks in the resorts 7 other restaurants and bars (locally produced alcoholic drinks).  Drinks brought in the VIP Disco are not included in the All-Inclusive package and must therfore be paid for.

Is the resort on the beach?
The resort is situated directly by the beach at Cofresi, near Puerto Plata.  The hotel accommodation is closest to the beach with the residence suites and Crown villas situated a little further away but all are within walking distance.

Is it a timeshare resort and do I have to attend a presentation?
No it is not a timeshare resort.  The resort does have a vacation club which offers special privileges but it is your choice whether you wish to attend the presentation.

How do I arrange my return to the airport at the end of my vacation?
To arrange your return transfer to the airport, contact the Lifestyle Customer Service Office a couple of days prior to your departure from the resort.  There is a $20 per person departure tax fee payable at the airport.

Are the VIP extra amenities available to all accommodations?
Yes, regardless of which accommodation you stay in, you will receive a gold VIP wristband on arrival at the resort which entitles you to full use of all the VIP bars and Gourmet restaurant and all other privileges that all VIP guests receive.  You and your party will be treated as VIP guests for the duration of your stay.

Can you send me a brochure?
Yes, simply complete the form from the top menu, we also have a DVD of VIP World showing all the facilities, accommodation and VIP parties. 

What facilities are available for children?
There is a supervised Kid's Club open daily from 9am - 5pm with daily activities program for children 4 to 12 years old, children's section in the pool, a baby sitting service (reservations required) and a mini disco.
